Les and the rest of the Bay City Rollers made tartan sexy. There will be lots of women who had a teenage crush on him during the 1970's.
R.I.P Les.

I was born into a household where the BCR's records were constantly being played so their lyrics are subliminally lodged in my brain.

RIP Les

Hi

65 Way to young

I saw him around 20 years ago close to a pub named the Flying Scotsman at Kings Cross, shabby pub with strippers. Anyway he was wearing Jeans and a Denim jacker with a bright tartan scarf, not sure how his life panned out but hope it was peaceful

RIP Les

The Beatles had 20 number ones in the US. George Michael had 10 (including Wham!) and the Bee Gees, Elton John and Paul McCartney (including Wings) are all on 9, with the Rolling Stones on 8. The Bay City Rollers had just the 1.
