Former England and Sussex cricket captain and chairman of England selectors Ted Dexter has passed away at the age of 86.

Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Lord Ted was one of our best batsmen ever. And he's been one of our best captains.

He could ball a few overs if needed but his main atribute was as an attacking batsman.. RIP to one of crickets greats.

A great Test Match record, in it's own right, but in the 30 tests as captain he averaged 53.93 with 9 centuries.
He had a very varied & interesting life of the field, well worth reading any of his biographies.

Screen clip and post as an image? After putting in spreadsheet if you're concerned about copying directly from source.
