Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Censorship :-( - 18-06-2009 00:20 Can anyone clarify whether the babe channels on $ky are Free To Air, or Free To View? RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Mister Gummidge - 18-06-2009 00:32 Both. My mate cancelled his subscription last year and he still gets all of the babe channels that this forum is specifically dedicated to. (Babestation, SexStation, BangBabes, BabeWorld, SportXXX and so on.) RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Censorship :-( - 18-06-2009 00:45 Mr Gummidge Wrote:Both. (Babestation, SexStation, BangBabes, BabeWorld, SportXXX and so on.) Thanks for that. Do you mean that, in theory, an actual $ky subscription is 'supposed' to be required? What do new satellite viewers do, if they do not want a $ky subscription; can they watch the babe channels? RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - samcooke - 18-06-2009 00:53 There is a thread somewhere in the tech section on how to get the 900 channels for free. you buy a dish and a box, set it up and voila babe channels with no subscription. you also get the bbc channels, itv channels, four, five, e4, film4, and some other shit ones. RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - samcooke - 18-06-2009 01:00 The thread is called cheap sattalite kit, and there is a link on how to do it. RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Dreamlander - 18-06-2009 09:36 Basically any reconditioned, second hand or even new digibox from eBay will do.I got a recon. one for £20 delivered for my parent's caravan.I see you have the Scottish flag as your avatar so you will need a minimum zone 2 dish which is 45cm not 30cm like the ones used in England.Ebay again, around £30.A signal meter is around £5 and essential for alignment of the dish. There is lots of online help for this. To receive ITV,Channel 4 and Five you need a Freesat card from Sky,one off charge £20 but if it's just the 900's you want then don't bother with the card. You can pick the 900s up with any satellite decoder but without the Sky EPG the channels are all over the place and difficult to identify when members post the Sky numbers on here in a relevant thread.Well worth trying as you get the 'zone' channels as well which show 'soft' movies at night that show more than the 900 channels, weird eh? Dreamlander RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - samcooke - 18-06-2009 10:04 i only had to shell out for a digibox, got it for a tenner at a car boot sale and my neighbour let me plug it into his dish which was a touch. RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Wazo - 18-06-2009 11:52 Well on the BBC/ITV Freesat service not freesat from sky you get all the babe channels in non freesat mode except Sport XXX Wives an Sport XXX Girls which are encrypted. RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Censorship :-( - 21-06-2009 11:08 Thanks for the further replies. I already have a dish for 13e & 19e, so I could add an extra LNB to get 28e, though the dish would have to be realigned (currently on 13e). RE: Babe Channels on $ky - FTA or FTV? - Dreamlander - 21-06-2009 11:30 The current monobloc LNB you are using will pick up 28.2 if aligned to it.You will lose 13 or 19.2 if you re align to 28.2 as they are more than 6 degrees apart.A 1 metre or 1.2 metre dish with an LNB rail with three LNBs on it will let you receive all of the satellites on the one dish but your house will start to look like Jodrell Bank lol!
