His biggest hit, Bat Out Of Hell only reached No.8 in the UK singles chart, despite his popularity on this side of the pond. The album of the same name is the 4th best selling Album worldwide, which didn't make No.1 in the US or UK. The album also included the track, Heaven Can Wait, wonder where the reunion with the recently departed Jim Steinman with take place ?

A big man, with a big voice & a big personality.

RIP Meat

45 years on and Bat Out Of Hell is still selling 200,000 copies a year. His live gigs were awesome, seen him 4 times.

We saw him at the SECC when he got going again after taking time out following a collapse on stage. Two girls in babeshow style nurses uniforms wheeled him on, on a trolley, attached a pair of jump leads, and away he went. Classic! laugh

Paradise By The Dashboard Light done live was pure musical theatre.

RIP Meatloaf. We'll never see your like again.
