Rod Marsh RIP - Boomerangutangangbang - 04-03-2022 07:40 Former Australia wicketkeeper Rod Marsh has died at the age of 74, after suffering a heart attack last week. Between 1970 -1984 he played 96 Tests & what was at the time a world record 355 dismissals. One of the very best keepers standing back to the famous Lillie & Thomson pace pairing. His 95 catches off Lillie is still a Test record. His aggressive left hand batting produced 3 Test centuries & the first by an Australia keeper. He also played in 92 ODI over his career, which was interrupted by 2 years in World Series Cricket. After his playing career, he was a renowned coach, Marsh headed the Australia Cricket Academy, & also the same role for England, as well as the ICC World Coaching Academy in Dubai. He served as a commentator & was Australia's Chairman of Selectors for 2 years.
