Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Snooks - 29-07-2022 19:35 In my element watching it already. A sort of mini Olympics with less nations. Very good opening day for England and Scotland. Australia also doing very well as expected. Got next week off so will be glued to it Best wishes to all the home nations . RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Tumble_Drier - 29-07-2022 22:53 I’m loving watching the Sport at a reasonable time (who knew Brum was in the same time zone as the rest of us? . ) but what the actual fuck was going on with that Opening Ceremony? RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Snooks - 31-07-2022 13:06 Great semi final in the men's Rugby 7s between Fiji and New Zealand. Fiji recovering from 0-14 down to win 19-14 in extra time. Classic game. RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - hornball - 31-07-2022 16:18 Haven't seen too much of the Commonwealth games so far for one reason or another, but refreshing to see sports that have been allowed to fade from the publics conscience get an airing (that is why you exist BBC - should be forced to carry them more as a matter of course - (surprised nobody at the Corp has got nose bleeds from the shock of bringing them to air on this occasion) Not a huge fan, but my god, how fit are the gymnasts to do what they do. Particularly the floor exercises with the free standing flips, tumbles somersaults etc. Really good! Will be able to see much more of it this coming week and looking forward to it (provided that guy on BBC 3 can be persuaded to remember it isn't Team GB and there are actually 4 home nations not just one!) RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Charlemagne - 01-08-2022 07:37 It's good to hear 'Jerusalem' being used as England's national anthem. Rather it was land of hope and glory that it was then they changed it RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Tumble_Drier - 01-08-2022 18:19 (01-08-2022 15:55 )Snooks Wrote: LAURA KENNY YOU F#@%ING LEGEND!! I rushed home from work for that race. Fantastic to see her back on form after the year her & Jason have had. RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Snooks - 02-08-2022 12:42 English gymnast Jake Jarman has been busy devising his own personal medal table . Four gold's in the Gymnastics. Top stuff. RE: Commonwealth Games - Birmingham 2022 - Charlemagne - 02-08-2022 14:34 I was getting excited with the Ladies hockey. In the England team there's a Hannah Martin. Alas not our babe |
