I'm more and more surprised with the number of various sports that are being admitted into the games.

I've always believed that Race Walking is a non event and the winner is the one who has just avoided being disqualified.

There must be more sports which should be included.

I agree about race walking - they might just as well have “running to catch the bus” as an event. I have liked the simultaneous European Championships across different sports in different countries - they’ve provided a useful interlude whilst waiting for the Vuelta to start on Friday.

When Karate was announced for the last Olympics my expectations were two people knocking chunks out of each other.

It was a disapointment to see just the moves being judged, zero contact.

That's the Kumite Karate (6 events at the last Olympics).

To quote Suggs, it's quicker if you run.

One sport that should be included is Tug a war. It was an Olympic event between 1900 to 1920.
It demonstrates team work and strength, but the organisers see it as being too distant. But it's better viewing than a lot of others sports that are included.

Replace the L with an N and we could end up with Olympic Wanking Winklaugh.
