Jim Redmond who helped his son Derek cross the finish line after tearing his hamstring during his 400m semi final at the Barcelona Olympics has died aged 81
It was one of those memorable moments in Olympic history.

Awwww that was such a sad thing to see at the time. I remember rightly Derek's hamstring went somewhere down the back straight or just before the
final bend of that race and I think that race ended Redmond's career.
