Thank for all your support it is really appreciated. POTY is a nut I have yet to crack, but I'll keep trying. Up against previous winner Silent Majority, & multiple winner Snooks, let's be honest, I don't have a snowballs chance in hell. I mean if I was a cross-dresser I'd be reaching for the bridesmaid's dress right now.
My only previous funniest poster nomination was back in 2013, during the cwpussylover era, for members unfamiliar, imagine Chubby Brown but not as funny.
This time round, I've made the shortlist by some miracle. not sure that I can compete with the many hilarious visuals that Skyline & billyboy1963 have posted, I must have somehow scraped into the final 3 by virtue of a handful of mildly amusing one-liners. I liken my vein attempts at comedy to the goalscoring efforts of Leeds United, most of the shots are wide of the target, with very few hitting the back of the net.
Personally, I'd just like to thank any member who's posted anything remotely funny, in a world short of laughs it keeps my spirits up.
Well done & good luck to all nominated members, & to everyone who's got involved.
A big thanks to forum awards/team for all you endeavors with these awards.

I think you do yourself a massive disservice Boomer. After a few weeks of reflection I have concluded not only that I am not worthy of a place in the final three but that in many ways for the sake of the evolution of the forum you would be the ideal Poster Of The Year.
The best of me was long ago. My time has passed and the forum needs to move on now.
The great joy of a forum such as this is when batons get passed on to those of self deprecating fun, humility and constructive comment. Recognition of noble effort and honesty of endeavour is also extremely important which is why it was so right and proper that Regenerated was finally recognised last year. It was long overdue and I'm not just saying that because he is a Wolves fan.

.For a forum to thrive and strengthen it requires natural evolution. There is a time for those most special of contributors to have their moment in the sun.
With no disrespect to TSM or any other initially nominated members in the POTY category and with no respect at all to myself to my mind you absolutely fit the criteria as a Poster of the year for the modern forum era.
I on the other hand am the Harold Steptoe of forum contributors.
Like one of the old gits from the Harry Enfield sketch show. Grumpy old bugger

^^ I think that by not having the arrogance to believe you deserve to win POTY is part of the reason that you've had that success.
If we all tried to be Snooks, it just wouldn't work, we're all unique, the most important thing is being yourself & people will either love you or hate you.
I'd say I'm pretty much the same away from the Forum as I am on it......a wanker
I'm pretty sure that there's life in the old dog yet Snooks, having read some of your recent posts, you've lost none of your art. Maybe we aren't the best judge of ourselves.
Awards are nice, but we all post for the love of it, & it's cheaper than the pub.
