Parky was on the TV for seven decades and interviewed several thousand guests and all I can remember him for was being terrorised by that blasted emu.

He was all things Yorkshire, from the cricket team to the tea. RIP Sir Michael

Parky was a former team-mate of Boycott & Dickie Bird at Barnsley Cricket Club. A regular at Yorkshire matches & a past president of Scarborough Cricket Club. A minutes silence was held before the Yorkshire v Hampshire 50 over match today at York.

Will never forget his interview with 'our boy' George Best!! In one sense, humourous, but obviously - in the round - a tragedy unfolding! Also Mark Knopfler *All Hail*. wasn't all that happy he interrupted Mark's playing at the time I must admit. The audience reaction too said the same!

The most admirable interview he did was with Ali. Don't think he got much in edgeways with him. A true tv legend on Saturday night.
