It's fascinating that the ethnicity of perp and victim are virtually identical percentages. It seems that nearly 50 years after Kennedy's equal rights legislation there has been very little real integration.

I think thats a bit harsh i've been there and its an amazing city and the murders have went down, theres just as many murders in glasgow and london

I'll make no bones about the fact that Britain isn't as safe or friendly as it once might have been, but reports of the country's demise have been greatly exaggerated.Smile

Murder happens everywhere... you can't escape it. You're also forgetting America is a pretty large place compared to the United Kingdom.

When I've been to America I have always felt quite safe. Granted I have only been to Manhattan in NY & I may have a different opinion if I were to stay in Queens or the Bronx.

Likewise I always feel safe in London, but there are places here too I wouldn't venture.

I guess it depends where you go! I have been to friends in Texas several times & thats predominantly white & the Gun, the Cowboy & the SUV are still king there! But I have never seen trouble, thats Dallas & also Austin.

I had to google this. England will fit into Texas 12 times & UK into the states 31. I think if we multiply our wonderful island by that much we'd be a lot worse too.

I love my Country & I'm so very proud!
