I know podcasts aren't music but they are audio so i feel this thread is more fitting in this section than tv or film.

What podcast recommendations do you guys have ? Either long running or maybe just a few episodes on a particular subject.

Just finished listening to Who Trolled Amber, Alexi Mostrous of Tortoise Media, the investigative journalist team that worked with Sky on the Westminster Accounts, looks at the online hate campaign against Amber Heard in relation to her marriage & break up with Johnny Depp.

Though this celebrity story is the case study its more about how social media & disinformation can be used to shape our thoughts & opionions on issues from celeb gossip to political elections.

Six eps each 40 mins, subtract ads is closer to 30, binged it over yesterday & today

Spotify: Who Trolled Amber ?

Any and all topics, what you got ?

I have been listening to the Real Dictators podcast series on BBC Sounds and found it very informative.

Thanks for the recommendation will look into it

Is it cheating to mention that Zer Beeb do extracts (like 15 mins) of things like Armando Iannucci's Strong Message Here or the PR one When It Hits The Fan.

Also of course the Elis James & John Robins effort which sometimes get a whole hour on R5.

I am loving the podcast series on BBC Sounds called 'Short History Of......'

Particularly enjoyed 'Short History Of Marie Curie'.

Excellent series.

^ 'Short History of The Cold War' is superb as is 'Short History of Oscar Wilde' and 'Short History of The Battle of Stalingrad'. Such a good series.

For anyone interested.
Just listened to A short history of 'The Nuremberg Trial'. Very moving listen.

I like The Rest is History.

Also, the Slow Burn series has had a few bingeable series — though mostly on American topics like Watergate, the Lewinsky scandal, and Iran Contra affair.
