Le Mans 2024 - Tumble_Drier - 11-06-2024 22:08 Tomorrow sees the start of practice & qualifying the the 92nd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year we have a huge Hypercar & LMGT3 Entry with 23 cars in each class and the remaining 16 places taken up by LMP2 Prototypes. UK TV Timings (Eurosport) Wednesday 12 June Free Practice 1. 12:45-16:15 Qualifying. 17:45 - 19:15 Free Practice 2. 20:45-23:15 Thursday 13 June Free Practice 3. 13:45 - 17:15 Hyperpole. 18:45 - 20:15 Free Practice 4. 20:45 - 22:15 Saturday 15 June Coverage starts at 14:00. Race Start is 15:00 Free Practice & Qualifying are self-explanatory. For Hyperpole, the fastest 8 cars in each class (Hypercar, LMGT3 & LMP2) go head-to-head for Pole Position Eurosport generally has a large choice of feeds (In Car, ad break free etc) depending on how you get the channel. My advice is to find the ad-free feed as Eurosport's Commercial Breaks come thick & fast during the race! I am sure with entries we have at least one team will get on the podium in a class. Things could be a bit spicy in the early laps with the #7 Toyota starting last of the Hypercars because Kobayashi's best qualifying time was struck off after he caused a red flag. Also worth watching is the #12 Hertz Team Jota Porsche 963. The car has been completely rebuilt from the ground up after Callum Ilott crashed in PP2 with only a short shakedown on the local airfield last night and this morning's warm-up since.
