Keir Starmer - and his miserable government - Charlemagne - 09-07-2024 16:38 I notice that no-one has created a new thread for this Labour government. So far he seems to be wanting to reset the working with the other nations in the UK and today with the city mayors. RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - HannahsPet - 09-07-2024 20:30 was interesting this morning meeting the mayors and the King of the north Andy Burnham said he had not Met Rishi Sunak as PM seeing it has been nearly 2 years is a sad indictment on the last goverment I see the Telegraph and co are taking it well RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - ukdoll - 09-07-2024 21:05 to save time, just copy and paste in all the comments from the previous conservative party thread RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - Spike1876 - 09-07-2024 21:23 And for consistency, rename the thread to something a little more condescending, like all the other political one's RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - Charlemagne - 10-07-2024 05:08 ^ I am being consistant. The titles get changed during the new prime minister's term, good or bad. RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - southsidestu - 11-07-2024 16:47 RE: Keir Starmer - and his government - The old Clit Eastwood! - 16-07-2024 20:24 Keir Starmer announced there isn't enough money to scrap the family allowance cap of two children. Maybe if we stopped to think how much money is being spent or wasted on other ridiculous schemes that money could help hard up families. I find government figures out of touch and hugely underestimated. We are told 4 million children in the UK are living in poverty....bullshit. Considering our supposed UK population is estimated to be between 67-70 million. Phone companies, water companies and other utility businesses actually estimated our population at around 80 million+ ten years ago. I would hazard a guess that our population is probably nearer 100 million. So the real term problems of child poverty are more likely to be around 6 million+. It's about time these government officials stopped the bullshit and highlighted these issues instead of the usual lifting of the carpet and bulldozing it out of sight!!! Wrote: I would hazard a guess that our population is probably nearer 100 million. The last census (2021) reported 67 million. This can be checked against the number of people registered with a GP at that time, 70 million. If you reckon 100 million, are you saying there are 30 million people in this country that don't need a doctor - ever?
