Claudia Cardinale, the Tunisian-born Italian star of the Pink Panther, has died at the age of 87.
She became famous in 1963 when she appeared in Fellini's Oscar-winning 8 1/2 and the epic period drama The Leopard, which became a Visconti classic.
She was known as Italy's Brigitte Bardot.

8 1/2 and The Professionals both worth the look, and I gather Once Upon A Time In The West too, if I ever get around to seeing it.

Once Upon A Time In The West was the one movie that immediately stuck out for me with her. Arguably the best spaghetti western ever made, and she had as much presence in the film as Fonda and Bronson. R.I.P. to such a naturally beautiful actress, how most of them used to be.

I did enjoy Legend of Frenchie King (even thought it was a spaghetti western comedy) that she and Brigitte did together.

Once Upon a Time in the West is one of my all time favourites. Great performance in Italian film The Leopard. Sad to see a siren and legend of the silver screen pass.

I think her performance in the Professionals is on a par with Once Upon A Time in the West. I'd say you'd be spoilt in trying to decide which film to use as a tribute, but I believe Great Movies Action (or whatever it is) is showing the Professionals on Sunday I think
