RE: RIP Gil Gerard - skully - Today 11:23 Loved Buck Rogers, such a fun show. R.I.P.
RE: RIP Gil Gerard - lovebabes56 - Today 11:29 Awww - was a fun show too as skully said 82 is a grand age. Wasn't it a tea time show on Saturday night on BBC (think it was BBC2?) or ITV - or was it on during the week and who was the voice of the little robot? RE: RIP Gil Gerard - HannahsPet - Today 11:34 it was mel blanc who did bugs bunny and other looney toons characters only recently found that out was watching a thing on youtube about it it was definately a weekend show when i first saw it was actually ITV apparently was up against dr who until bbc changed time so it didnt clash bought the entire box set of both buck rogers and battlestar galactica on blue ray about 6-7 years ago must dust off my blu ray and watch them over xmas RE: RIP Gil Gerard - Joannis - Today 12:38 Indeed, Mel Blanc was the voice of Daffy Duck in the 1950s cartoon Duck Dodgers in the 24 and a 1/2th Century. It was no great shakes that Buck Rogers was on ITV at the same time Dr Who was on BBC1. Tom Baker had played Dr Who too long, and the production on Dr Who was cheap. Buck Rogers was much more well produced, and had lots of beautiful women; who all had to act like they were madly in love with Buck Rogers. Gil Gerard was a lucky guy. RIP |
