Joining videos - jack29g - 12-07-2009 16:47 Can someone recommend a good free video joining programme? I know of HJ Split, however this only works when the videos have been specially split as it won't accept a series of AVI files that I am trying to join. cheers. RE: Joining videos - skateguy - 12-07-2009 17:18 You can do this with Mpegstreamclip (free and available for Macs & PCs). 1. Drag the first movie in to the movie window. 2. Select All. 3. Copy 4. Drag the second movie in 5. Paste the first movie back in front of the new movie 5. Select All. 6. Copy. 7. Drag the third movie in 5. Paste the two copied movies back in front of the new movie and so on.... 8. Export the joined videos in your desired format and quality. Each movie must be the same format and the same dimensions (resolution). RE: Joining videos - jack29g - 12-07-2009 17:32 Thanks, but it doesn't allow files to be dragged into the window RE: Joining videos - skateguy - 12-07-2009 17:52 Ok - well however you get the videos into the application using your platform (PC I guess). I use a Mac and dragging works. On a PC maybe you need to go to File/Open or some such similar menu command? Quicktime Pro is another app that works (paid for app but many have it) - again using the select all, copy & paste functions. I did try that but after an hour it was still doing some sort of converting and showed no indication of how long it was going to take or the progress it was making.
