Loretta Swit - RIP

Her publicist has announced the death of MASH legend Loretta Swit.

She's best known for playing Major Margaret Houlihan on the acclaimed TV series, has died aged 87.

Her role as head Army nurse Houlihan saw her nominated 10 years in a row for the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, which she won twice in 1980 and 1982.

MASH was one of the most popular comedy series in the 70's and 80's (and one of the most iconic theme tunes to a tv show too) - but to hear the death of a legendary star of that same series is very sad news there can't be many left from that show alive.
