RE: Ofcom - Current Investigations
Sky Fit And Proper Investigation

A glimmer of light. An MP says Ofcom cant do deep investigations. Different type of investigation but still interesting.

Financial Times Wrote:Ofcom has today ruled that Sky is "fit and proper" to hold broadcasting licences. High quality global journalism requires investment. But it had harsh words for its former chairman. The watchdog found that “James Murdoch’s conduct in relation to events at News Group Newspapers repeatedly fell short of the conduct to be expected of him as a chief executive officer and chairman”.
...
But some were displeased by the report’s findings. Tom Watson, a Labour MP and former member of the parliamentary committee looking into phone hacking, said he was “disappointed” by the findings.

Mr Watson, who has been a persistent critic of News Corp and the Murdoch family said: “I do think it shows there are flaws in Ofcom’s methodology – they can’t do deep investigations in the way that other organisations can.”

Audience complaints Tuesday 18 September 2012 to Monday 24 September 2012

This only lists programs with more than 10 complaints:

Citizen Khan, BBC 1, Monday, 17 September, 2012 : 14

Another week and Ofcoms stance concentrating scarce resources on late night shows on specialised channels with small niche audiences who know exactly what they are getting is vindicated by the high level of public outrage.[/sarcasm]
