I don't pretend to know your personal financial circumstances or anybody else's, and this isn't really directed at you, Fragels, anyway. If we are treating this thread as a public service, then I am posting this just as a general rule of thumb.

It is "casino rules" in this business, fellas -- i.e. do not gamble what you cannot afford to lose.

And it IS a gamble. This "one bad apple spoils the barrel" idea is utter nonsense. It is a barrel full of rotten apples and you have to forage for a good one. It is the culture of the business. Oh, I'm sure they all go in as the sweet girl-next-door ... but everything about the glamour modeling / babeshow industry is geared toward squeezing the last dime out of every "customer". They are surrounded by crooks and charlatans every day. It is a morally bankrupt and corrupting environment -- like FIFA, with less money and bigger boobs.

If you are lucky enough to have a lifestyle where you don't feel the pain of an £80 loss, then by all means buy all the lingerie and custom videos you want. But things like this will happen. Which is not to say that one should stand idly by and LET it happen. But small claims court? The police? Give me a break. Who among us is willing to even admit to this stuff if they weren't hiding behind the anonymity of a made up name? The whole business is predicated on the assumption that 9 guys out of 10 wouldn't even admit to watching these shows, let alone to spending money on the girls. You have no recourse, other than to name-and-shame.

That was a very fair and well written post mate.

I do feel for this guy and he has had his money taken and is entitled to get his money back, but I think it will be very difficult and should use this example to learn from it.

Now allow me to offer you a suggestion of how you proceed. Small claims is out for the reason I already stated. The police will not be interested either.

You will know the PO addr of s66 (its on their website) so you write to 'Gina, Studio66 etc....'. Make it a nice letter. No threats or anything. Even go as far as to make your peace and suggest that she simply sends you a cheque or a Postal Order. Even put a stamp-addressed envelope with your letter.

If the 'nice' approach does not work then I really do not know what to say.

That's a statement that says more about the writer than it does about the subject. In fact it suggests that the writer's morally bankrupt.

I'm not a football fan, but if someone wants to pay £500 to get a ticket for the cup final surely that's up to them. If they get swindled by the ticket company, would it be fair for me to say football at that price is a crazy waste of money anyway and the buyer deserves to be robbed?

The simple fact is fragels paid for her for something and she has not delivered - and anyone who thinks that is OK is morally bankrupt.

The quotation was made to suggest that the OP was prepared to be ripped of, disappointed even, had the goods been received.

That they have not means that there has to be some form of redress. Maybe Gina actually did post them. Believe it or not, packages do get lost in transit - I ordered a PC monitor from a well established company and that 'vanished' between their warehouse and the distribution centre of the courier. And most people do not obtain 'proof of postage' since they trust the Post Office.

I have suggested an 'out'. It is up to the OP to consider that option.

It did used to be 60 days elgar, but I'm sure PayPal changed their rules and it now has to be within 45 days of the date of the payment.

Some of you must have some sort of expertise in the best practice to be used.

Should the best advice be:
Client pays by using PAYPAL
Girl send item by registered post and then she should send tracker number which she should send to her client.

If the item then goes missing, is it the sender or the receiver who claims the compensation from the delivery company?

^^ If it is Registered Post, it is always the sender that makes the claim since they have paid the 'insurance'

Sorry to be pedantic, but registered post was abolished in 1998. Nowadays valuable items should be sent by "Royal Mail Special Delivery", although if it's not worth more than £50 the "Royal Mail Signed For" service can be used as that includes insurance up to that amount.

There is recorded delivery and proof of posting; special delievery is above those other two, proof of posting is free.

You can insure things with recorded delivery to what ever value and you always insure parcels, special delivery just garantees it will get their normally a day or two after sending.
