So sony are going go charge for multiplayer

They think people are addicted to multiplayer content, they are not and won't pay it. What I want to know, will they include ALL games that have multiplayer option, whether you use it or not?

If this is the case i won't stop with Sony as the other companies will all follow suit, remember it was EA that first made you have to use online pass and if you bought the game second hand you had buy a online pass to play online and then what happened other companies followed suit like Ubisoft. If these companies know that they can get extra money out of people and get away with it believe you me they'll do it.

Yup.

If you have forked out for the game and membership, that should be that.

But you don't pay for maintenance for the online game servers and the data centres need to run them id say the data transfer on the next gen consoles will b about the same as streaming movies how many of us have movie streaming services just got to think of it as how much gaming costs per hour of use compared to other things and if u get unlimited use for about a tenner a month then its worth it

And that's why they get away with charging becasue people will make excuses up like this and go right ahead and pay for it. These companies are worth millions and seem to be able to aford it and do it now for free, suddenly in a couple of months they can't and must charge? You already pay a membership fee for such purposes. This is nothing other than a money making excercise.

And it still doesn't say how it's going to work out. I have never played multiplayer on line, no intention of ever doing, but alot of my games do have the multiplayer option. Some games have both a coop and multiplayer, I do play coop on line with somebody, are they going to class coop as multiplay? How will they charge multiplay on the same game that has a coop? or as in assasins creed, essentially single play, but has a multiplay componant?

Read what I put, I have never played multiplay on line nor do i intend to. But people should be made aware of it and clarification on whether it means multiplay only or any coop game being classed has multiplay.

well guessing if its like the way it is now you will have to login to PSN to play multiplayer games for which you will be charged you will prob only be able to play co-oprative if you play over a local network im guessing if someones going to spend £350 on the PS4 and nearly 60 quid a game they will be able to afford the money to play it multiplayer
