NFL 2023-2024 Season

Not sure about the MNF double-header, SkySports chose the Packers 22 - 24 Giants game, having watched the 1 hour highlights of both games the Dolphins 27 - 28 Titans game had a bit more quality.
The Packers didn't really deserve a chance to win as they were poor across the board. Credit goes to a much improved Giants defense.
The Dolphins weren't at their best, but they were still in the game going into the 4th quarter when they scored 17 unanswered points, only for the Titans to mount a remarkable 14 point comeback victory against the clock, orchestrated by the impressive Levis, which included a vital 2 point conversion.

Since 2016 teams down 14 with less than 3 minutes to go were 0-767!

The Dolphins still have that New Year's Eve game against the Ravens, so their chance for Home-Field isn't gone yet.
I have Multiple TVs, so I got to see both games

Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey made NFL history as the first to convert a 60 & 59 yard field-goal in the same game. He was named NFC Special-Team Player of the Week. He now has 30 straight successful attempts, he also has 84 touchbacks, with the record standing at 88.

Chargers 21 - 63 Raiders
This is the same Raiders that shutout against the Vikings last week. All over in the 1st quarter with 3 td's & 42-0 at the half. The Chargers had 4 fumbles & an int, all 5 turnovers were converted in 7 points (35).
The 2nd half was a slightly different story, which is the nature of the game when the defense tend to play soft & the coach generally shows some humility and not try to embarrass their opponents unnecessarily in an attempt to chase records.

NFL Offical stat:The Raiders' 42 first-half points were most scored by a team coming off a shutout.

The NFL will be playing their 1st season match in Brazil next year

My one small criticism of the NFL is that they crown the winners of the Super Bowl as World Champions.
Strikes me as a little arrogant. The NFL is an elite League & although the sport is played at different levels Worldwide there's no pathway for other countries to reach the required standard to compete against teams in the US.
The Premier League is considered to be the Elite Football competition in the World, but we don't call ours (England) champions of the World, that is reserved for the World Cup. I'm sure that Australian Rules Football is the same, & a good comparison to American Football which is a code of the Sport associated to a single Country & therefore doesn't constitute a World Champion.

Week 15 - Saturday Games - Live on Sky Sports NFL
Vikings @ Bengals - 18.00
Steelers @ Colts - 21.30
Broncos @ Lions 01.15

Plenty of interest surrounding Saturdays games, first up the Vikings get a chance to close the gap on NFC North leader Detroit. The Vikings sit 2 wins behind, but are in charge of their own destiny as the face the Lions twice. The Bengals sit bottom of the highly competitive AFC North but still in the mix, led by Browning & on a 2 game winning streak, they still have divisional rivals Steelers & Browns to come. I'm not sure if it is still on for all 4 teams to make the Playoffs but you can easily see 3/4. Vikings expect to have Mullens at QB for this game. Bengals have the edge for me.

Next up, the Colts must have a genuine chance of winning the AFC South as the Jags have faltered of late. Although both teams are among 6 in AFC at 7-6 all potentially fighting for the #6 & #7 seeds, the Steelers have a brutal schedule. Minshew strikes me as a bit of a risk taker, capable of scoring but he's making too many mistakes, which could prove costly against a decent Steelers D. I'll still go with the Colts owing to the Steelers inability to score.

The Broncos have to keep winning & hope that the Chiefs continue their decline in order to claim the AFC West, if not they still have as good a chance as any to claim a Playoff place. Another close contest, I'll back Denver to pose more of a threat.

First Saturday game went to overtime between Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings.
Tied at 24-24 at full time a field goal was enough to take the Bengals to victory leaving them on 8-6.
Vikings left on 7-7.
