ImageChunk Problem

Your right Skateguy but that only pops up when your viewing the first image not when your trying to upload the images to the server like imagechunk does.
And l always tag my images as adult content even the daytime ones.

Is Imagechunk down at present?
I can't see any pics from them on forum and their website shows
500 - Internal Server Error

Well, I had noticed it getting slower as of late. I guess it just finally ground to a halt again.

I'm glad I switched to imagevenue last time it went down. I only use imagechunk to give a full size example. But since that's covered by the thumbnails anyway, I'm not missing anything.

And yes, livejasmin pops up with imagevenue as well. on the first image. So I just open one up in a new tab, and then close the tab. After that you can view as many as you like.

anyone know when it will be back up ?

just retried imagevenue again. seems to have improved since the last time i used it and also the larger thumbnails so looks like i will be switching to them from now on

not sure why everyone uses imagechunk, there are better ones out there, one that comes to mind is imagebam

Unlike Imagechunk, imagebam does not allow full size pics to be embedded in a post.

Looking at the amount of full size pics embedded on some forum pages, I'm not convinced that this is a benefit anymore. I'd also much prefer a stable host be used, rather than one that offers full size pic embedding yet goes down every couple of months for several days. Many smaller hosts seem to offer full size pic embedding, yet in many cases they can't afford the bandwidth that providing this features causes. I don't believe its a coincidence that the two largest and most stable hosts don't offer the feature.

I think I will start using Imagevenue now as the Thumbnails are quite large anyway
and as Skate says it might be better to use a more stable host so we don't keep losing the caps!

Moved on to imageavenue myself.

After the last time imagechunk went down I tried a few mainstream hosts but they couldn't seem to decide on what was deemed as adult content

im not sure if you are aware of a image host picfoco, im a member of another adult forum and they have banned picfoco has a image host due to not being able to view the full image. i think there is one called skins.
