Once again, thanks for the PSU advice!

Although today I've had the PC for about an hour and there's been no noise, it's strange how the noise comes and goes.

Anyhow, seen this PSU in my local Currys and it's got good reviews too, so I'll probably get that as a backup plan should the PSU become more consistently noisier.

could just be the fan my old one use to do that was silent some of the time and then made grinding noise a thump on the case used to solve the problem Wink

Hello all,

Would you believe it aside from a bit of whining this morning for a bit, it's been largely fine, right after I bought that Corsair PSU.

Either way, many thanks for everyone's advice!
