No, shouldn't be stopped. Some of the fans might like to buy a young woman a present. (following so far?) The list gives the fan (read thick) an idea what the young woman might like.

In the states, brides do lists from department stores. Tells the guest what the couple wants and tracks to reduce duplication.

Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world she has to walk into mine!

No it shouldn't be stopped, you are not forced to buy things off them, some may encourage you with pics/videos etc... but you don't HAVE to through with that it's your own choice.

The only problem is if a gullible chap buys a girl a gift and then thinks it makes them an item "what do you mean you won't go out with me ? I just bought you the downton abbey box set'

definitely not, no one forces you to buy something off the babes list, it's fun seeing people get annoyed when nothing happens after they get a babe something

I don't think stopping the wish list as such would particularly make much difference, the folks hoping to get a phone number or a rendezvous Rolleyes will still be buying gifts.

Haha, no one can force the girls to stop their wishlists.
I just laugh my ass off at mugs who buy things off them thinking they might get something in return.
Fair enough if you have enough money to burn and you want to treat a girl you like talking to though.

Anyway there is nothing from stopping any of you from setting up wishlists.
Just don't be too surprised when no one buys you anything!
