So all that BBC waffle about the 20th anniversary of the Faldo-Norman finish DID in fact pay off. What a crazy final round. When Spieth hit 4 birdies in a row, it looked like a canter. And then it very much wasn't. I do find Spieth easy to dislike, I admit, from his tortoise speed to his middle-aged face.

All credit to Danny "looks like Ricky Groves off of EastEnders" Willett for doing what a champion must - for doing what Faldo did in 1996 - keeping calm and carrying on. The guy's World #12 anyway, so it's not like a total long shock. And well done to Westwood, to Casey, to Fitzpatrick, to all those guys, Kjeldsen, Rose, etc, who really made it such an overall thumping good night.

You can imagine Danny Willett waking up this morning.
He'll be thinking 'Was it a dream or did it really happen'

absolutely love his brother's PJ's tweets he'll probably be offered megabucks deals for books, etc.

It's going to ruin our reputation for winning the Ryder Cup as underdogs, though
