Both Robertsons and - YES! - Maguire went out yesterday also.

Barry Pinches, having somehow got to this Last 32 stage, got whitewashed by Mark Selby today. Ken Doherty also got this far, but lost 5-3 to Sam Craigie.

Judd Trump raced through this evening in a whitewash of Zhou Yuelong, who has only won 1 frame against "the Ace" in 3 meetings now.

Zhao Xintong humbled Trump 5-1 to set up a semi-final with Ricky Walden. Mark Allen will meet Ryan Day or Yan Bingtao in the other.

I was a bit bemused to see Eurosport coverage in the evening starting with Zhao leading 8-0. Fair play to the guy, he's proved his UK win wasn't a fluke. Now up to #8 in the rankings or something.

This year's event begins on Wednesday with significant ranking points to play for. Reigning champion Zhou Xintong will not defend his title though after his suspension from tournament play.
