England take the series, before the final match on Tuesday. They were made to work harder than in the previous fixture. With Malan making a duck & Crawley followed some after, out first ball. Salt just played his shots, had some luck & Vince looked his usual class, they added 97, before a collapse, & it took a partnership of 69 between Gregory & Carse to rescue them from 160-7 to post a total that they were able to defend. Gregory made a breakthrough in the 2nd over with his first ball & 2 further wickets added to his Man of the Match performance. Mahmood was outstanding again & the whole bowling unit used the conditions well. Wickets fell at regular interval. but still Pakistan kept the run rate within sight, & Hasan Ali gave them some hope as he smashed Parkinson for 3 consecutive sixes. He fell soon after, to a great catch from Simpson, who took 5 in all including a well anticipated catch off Parkinson's bowling.

Some very crisp stroke play from Salt and Vinceagar for sure .

I'm a little surprised that the Man of the match was awarded to James Vince, a great knock, but got out when the job needed to be finished off. great to see him reach his maiden international century, & finally produce an innings that his undoubted talent suggested. But babar Azam was the outstanding innings of the match.

A notable series win for England though against a very good opposition.
Eoin Morgan must be delighted seeing a whole new team brought together at such short notice perform so well in his absence.
The reserves run deep in English limited overs cricket. Ben Stokes captained them well too.
