RE: NFL 2009/10
Another week,Another poor offensive display from The Raiders.Oh well, what can you do? the amazing thing for me is how the hell did we beat The Eagles? The NFC East is wide open again, given the way The Giants are slumping at the moment,it's back to a three horse race between The Giants/Eagles/Cowboys.
I really like the look of The Vikings as the NFC champs, the game against The Packers last night was never really close, despite a spirited comeback by The Packers you always felt The Vikes would win out.
Good week to have Chris Johnson in my fantasy team Wink

With new allegations about Raider Head Coach Tom Cable emerging over the weekend,it's hard to see him being Head Coach at the end of the season. With next week being a bye week for us,will this be the time for Al Davis to fire him,Al isn't shy about firing coaches mid-season,especially if he feels he has 'cause' (like he did with Kiffin and Shanahan) so he won't have to pay up their contracts.

Al WISHING THE NEW HEAD COACH OF THE RAIDERS LUCK?

RE: NFL 2009/10
I was thinking how well Brett Favre played against the packers in both games but then found out that in both games he was not even sacked once yet his successor Aaron Rodgers was sacked in both games for a combined total of 14 times. No matter how great a quarterback you are you are not going to win games when you sacked that many times. So I am wondering is Minnesota's great season due to Brett Favre or the offensive line? and would Aaron Rodgers do as well as Favre if he had the same offensive line?

I think there are other factors to be taken into consideration, the Vikings defensive front four is probably the best in the NFL,Jared Allen is a total beast,i was delighted when the Chiefs traded him because he used to terrorise The Raiders QB's.
Also Rodgers and Favre are different types of QBs,Rodgers is a scrambler who tends to hold onto the ball too long,a bit like Ben Roethlisberger in that respect.Whereas Favre has the luxury of having Adrian Peterson in the backfield, defensive coordinators have to be wary of sending too many after the Quarterback because Peterson only needs half a seam to take the ball 80 yards to the house.
I think The Vikings and The Saints are definitely the class acts in the NFC,The Packers are a work in progress,i've got a lot of time for Aaron Rodgers i think The Packers were right to ditch Favre and go with him,he'll be their QB for the next 10 years barring injury, and as soon as he learns to throw the ball away rather than hang on to it,the sack count will go down and he won't keep facing 3rd and 18.

1) did anyone see what joey porter said about the patriots jesus that guy knows how to hype up games? who needs promoters when you have him to stir it all up?

2) Pillow pants did you hear Troy Aikman saying he believes that because of the quarter back rating system Quarter backs are selfishly taking the sack rather then throwing the ball away in order to enhance their passing stats. Do you agree with this at all? and do you think Aaron Rodgers could be guilty of this? or do you think it could be simply that he is raw inexperienced so thus needs to learn when to hold on to the ball whilst making his reads, and when to throw the ball away?
