Bengals 38 - 44 Steelers
The Bengals are consistent in that they continue to lose games by small margins. It doesn't seem to matter what Burrow does, their defence keeps giving up points. Wilson had a 400+ yard passing game, as the Steelers topped 500 yards total offense.

Ravens 19 - 24 Eagles
The Ravens head a 9-0 lead in the 1st quarter before the eagles replied with 2 TD'S before halftime, & increased their lead in the 4th quarter with the Ravens unable to mount a comeback.
The Ravens are backing their kicker Tucker, who is usually automatic in the 50 yard range, he hasn't been at his best this season & missed from 47 & 53, also an extra point.
Jackson said the loss was down to failing to finish drives off, a good observation coming away with2 TD's from 5 visits to the Red Zone. Jackson had better stats both through the air & on the ground than Hurts only completed 11-19 passes. Barkley had the bragging rights over Henry who was held under 100 yards. Barkley had a 100 yard game & a TD.
Ultimately, when you lose by 5 & your kickers messes account for 7, that is the game right there.

Bills 35 -10 49ers
All very depressing but expected for a Niners fan. The sight of McCaffery leaving the game early with a knee injury only compounds the pain. Same old story, Red Zone efficiency. On a night when running the ball & more importantly protecting the ball would be paramount, they coughed it up 3 times. The condition ensured that the passing game would play a bit part, but the strength & physicality of Allen were better suited than Purdy who too often tried to force plays in an attempt to claw back points. Allen had remarkable figures of 13-17, 148 yards 2 TD's, super efficient, he also became the first QB in NFL history to have a rushing, passing & receiving touchdown in the same game.
Allen threw a pass to Amari Copper who was tackled short of the End Zone, Allen was in position to receive a lateral pass from Copper & get across the goal line for the score.
With wind & snow throughout field goals were always going to be an issue, the Niners had to settle for one on there 1st drive, the only point that they had a lead in the game. Moody misses on his next 2 attempts when trying to gain a 1st down would've been the better option.

Broncos 41 - 32 Browns
The Browns QB Jameis Winston had crazy, 34-56, 497 yds 4TD's 3 INT's. Two of the 3 interceptions bookended each half as they were both pick sixes, which cost the Browns the game. Former Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had 9 catches for 235 yards & a TD.
Both teams traded punches throughout, it just became a shootout, highly entertaining.

Looking forward to Packers at Lions tonight. (Whisper it quietly ) but this might not be a straight forward Lions win....according to a few pundits and social media stalwarts Detroit have a depleted defensive line.

My team might actually have a chance then.

It's a bit of a storied rivalry aswell, with the teams playing each other twice in each season, stretching back over 90 years.

I shall try to stay up as long as possible but will definitely watch it again on catchup.

Approaching the business end of the regular season now - I expect more playoff places to be decided, or all but, over this weekend.

Like you regenerated kinda gutted that the lions Vs packers is not on Sunday on one way backing my friends team the packers whilst home advantage and one of the best runs I've ever seen in the lions have a sneaky feeling this could go to overtime

^^ This should be a great game, 2 of the more watchable NFL teams, both play an exciting brand of football, I'm expecting a number of big plays on offense, defence & special teams. The Lions are 3.5 points favourites, the injuries on defence are well documented, but they have usually managed to overcome them with back-ups not letting standards drop, the coaches & the players themselves equal credit. Goff has been ridiculously accurate & consistent, but Jordan Love has had a poor season by his own standards, last week was much better, & he will have to replicate that level if the Packers are to keep up with the high scoring Lions.

Lions 34 - 31 Packers
A slow start from the Packers, but they came out at half time with a twin TD strike & competed much better. Geriisgreat wasn't far off about the chances of overtime. With both offences scoring freely it always felt that whichever team got the last possession would win. The Lions held a big advantage with time of possession, they converted 7/15 on 3rd down & 4/5 on 4th down. Coach Campbell continued to press the gamble button, he let the Packer into the game when the one time they failed, by giving the Packers a short field & they took that opportunity. The last 4th down attempt proved decisive, after moving into long field goal range, they could've easily kicked the go-ahead score, but still given the Packers & Love enough time to take the game into overtime. Instead the 4 down conversion served 2 purposes, one to make the field goal conversion almost automatic, & 2 run the remaining time off the clock.
The Packer only managed to convert 1/5 on 3rd down, which makes it tough to keep drives going, something the Lions achieved more regularly. The Lions had 76 total offensive plays compared to 45 by the Packers.
This is no time for the Packers to panic, they just need to clean thing up in one or 2 areas & the playoffs should be within reach & a possible re-match with the Lions.
