RE: Northern Irish Assembly
Gerry Adams announced he was stepping down as Sinn Fein leader the other day:

Quote:"Leadership means knowing when it's time for change and that time is now," the 69-year-old, who has been party president since 1983, said.
He might well have added "take the hint, Arlene" Tongue
Quote:Mr Adams told BBC News NI's political editor Mark Devenport he did not mind "how history judges me".
"I won't be around to appreciate it, so I don't really care," he said.

His successor predictably looks like being a chick:

Bring on Sadly Bradley instead.

As long as she doesn't stick a loaf of bread on her head (!), she might be fine.

A by-election might get interesting, given the usual reasons.

After Boris's comment about a bridge to France, the DUP want a £20billion bridge to Scotland.

I guess the price of their votes just went up.
