i am happy with this, i just hope they let him pick the best players for each game instead of this silly need to rest people so they can play in a months time when the series is lost,

The big news is, no Anderson & Broad. Potential debuts for Lees, Mahmood, Parkinson
& Fisher.

Andrew Strauss said this doesn't mean Anderson's & Broad's Test careers are over.

After the failed paring of Sibley & Burns with quirky techniques, I can predict some scrutiny to fall on Alex Lees. For those that aren't familiar, he raises his bat off the ground, as is the modern way for many batsman, but then, when the bowler is in his run up, he then turns his head around, in what I assume is an effort to check the position of his bat, similar to a re=shot golf drill. Luckily he does manage to be looking back at the bowler before he delivers the ball.

It appears that the quality of opposition is questionable, but at least this has been an exercise in confidence for an underperforming England batting unit. Bairstow followed his Ashes ton, which he completed with a broken finger, with a century in this match, his 2nd in consecutive games in an England shirt. Dan Lawrence (83) has made the most of an opportunity to play ahead of Pope, who may now have to wait for a chance to crack Test cricket.
All eyes will be on a bowling attack without the big 2.
