RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
Ever heard that final phrase at the end of some DC series like Arrow. The actual quote is "Greg, move your head". Every Greg Berlanti TV show(producer) ends this way as a salute to his father, who used to say that to him when he was blocking the TV screen as a kid.

It took screenwriter Paul Schrader less then two weeks to write the script for the movie Taxi Driver.

Actor James Remar was originally cast as Corporal Dwayne Hicks in Aliens but was replaced by Michael Biehn and his scenes re-shot. Remar had a drug problem and busted for possession of drugs so was replaced.

^^^ Michael Biehn had to his costume which didn’t fit properly as he was called in last min. Apparently you can see shots of Remar in the film.

One of the funniest outtakes from the original series of It'll Be Alright On the Night with the late Denis Norden featured a an old war film with pilot in an aircraft with the clouds etc projected behind him and suddenly a shadow appears and a voice can be heard shouting "Hey! who the hell is walking across the sky?" According to James Cameron,Remar is visible from behind on the shot when the marines are looking up at the hive inside Hadley's Hope.

Writer/director Peter Jackson has an extensive collection of props/memorabilia from both film and TV,including the second draft screenplay for You Only Live Twice, the 1933 King Kong armature and the full sized 15 foot tall animatronic gorillia from the 1998 Mighty Joe Young remake.

RE: Movies/Tv - Facts and Trivia
Around the World In Eighty Days which chronicled a race against time by Phineas Fogg to win a bet in a best selling book was made into a highly-successful film starring David Niven, Shirley Maclaine with director Michael Todd taking the reins and featured countless cameos by famous actors like Frank Sinatra-usually a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment(although all the stars that appeared are shown at the end of the film) but he did take one liberty with the story. In the film there was a hot-air balloon used for some sequences and yet this does not appear in the original book/story; it was a device used by Todd to save time and money when filming. There was another film similar to Around the World In Eighty Days that did feature one: Five Weeks In A Balloon.

The outtakes from the films made by Hal Needham for The Cannonball Run 1 & 2 are actually funnier than the films. Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise for example are inveterate gigglers and there are several scenes that had to be retaken time and time again because they just made each other laugh. These thankfully are shown at the end of the films and not taken out.

Kirk Douglas was originally set to play Colonel Trautman in Rambo First Blood but left the set before the day of shooting because he wanted the ending like the book where Trautman kills Rambo but it changed for the movie. Actor Richard Crenna was bought in as a last min replacement. There’s even a poster as Kirk Douglas as the Colonel.
