Sandwiches

Talking of cheap food, the cheapest, nastiest thing I can ever remember eating were burgers I got from Farmfoods for 7p. That was for four burgers, they came in a tin and I think they were made mainly of penis and scrotums. The strange thing was I bought them more than once.

Were they in gravy? I love tinned burgers in gravy... They also make a very good buttie.

Yes they were in gravy. The ones I got could'nt be eaten in a butty or roll. The "gravy" dissolved most types of bread in a matter of seconds!!

Trying to lick the gravy off your own elbow is all part of the experience, surely? I've done that more than once with chip butties that have gravy on them.

I'm also a fan of a haggis and ketchup butty too, but the haggis has to be sliced and grilled. (that's me back on topic, sorry, lol).

A battered haggis supper, good stuff.

I guess you could put it in a sandwich, just to keep us on topic!

Just enjoyed a standard Bacon butty with ketchup, luurrrvely!

Has to be done with brown sauce. Ketchup on a bacon butty is just wrong.
