RE: Have they all given up?
Interesting comments all round, from those of us who recall the so called "good old days" to the more easily pleased (who hoo tits) viewpoint. Thing is far more people have access to a television than high speed broadband; I live in a rural county with less than 500k population and the broadband coverage is garbage so many babeshow fans have the telly and nowt else. What bothers me is we have always championed freedom of expression and fought against censorship yet the consensus on these forums seems to think we are happy with the tame drivel. BSX is the main offender with tame output ON AN ENRYPTED CHANNEL but nobody else is taking risks at all. Still can't recall a decent flash in the last year and most of the nest performers seemed to have left the shows or gone tame like Lolly. I am saddened none of the producers are pushing the boundaries and at present can't see anything that will. At this rate the channels will get tamer, not stronger and that will be victory to the so called do gooder brigade.

Lets assume then...that the number of (in my opinion desperate or too easy to please) callers, does not really change for the foreseeable. Does anyone really believe that there will be any improvement on the ultra-tame garbage that is being served up anytime soon?

I most certainly don't. The babechannels (as I have previously pointed out) will obviously be of the belief that what they are churning out is of an acceptable standard (obviously we know better...having experienced better days) All they need to do is point out how healthy their call revenues are, to justify what they are dishing out on a nightly basis.

Anyone who still clings to a semblence of blind faith that things will change for the better...well all I can say is good luck to you...I don't share your optimism, as there are no grounds for it. Ofcom has as good as won the war.

From the channels point of view, I guess they've calculated taking more risks & returning to the good old days is not worth the while.

How many extra callers will they get on top of what they're getting right now? Did many of the 'good old days' protesters actually call them in that golden period in the first place? If not many, then there's not enough returnees for them to bother with.

Maybe if the rules were relaxed they'd think it's worth a try, but not now.

RE: Have they all given up?
There are plenty of ways the channels could legally challenge the rules without putting their licences or profits at risk, but has anyone seen any evidence of that since early 2010 when the Participation TV Broadcasters Association (PTVBA) was last heard of?

Trouble is several large adult broadasters have a serious conflict of interest due to large web operations, DVD sales or magazine sales. A cynic might say they think every TV viewer is a lost sale. Even £5.99 for an encryped TV show is a poor deal compared with £20 for a Soho DVD sale. Its as if newpaper operators also ran television news and current affairs shows.

That scenario falls apart if new hungry operators come along, and a few years ago it was a regular occurance for a new small channel to start up. Unfortunately the other channels can temporarily up their game until they toe the line or lose so much money they pack up. However that wont work if a well funded foreign porn operator moves in.

Gone fishing

Lets be honest. People complained like crazy during the so-called "golden era".

As i see it the channels can't really put up much of a challenge to the rules because they have already signed on the dotted line and agreed to the rules and licence term's and conditions of the licence Ofcom grant them to broadcast on tv with .
When channels apply for a licence Ofcom send them loads of info about the rules and licence conditions etc, the channels then agree to these terms and condition and pay for the licence, so the channels have accepted and agreed to the rules/licence conditions, so having already agreed to the rules they don't seem to have got grounds to then challenge the same rules and licence conditions that the have signed up to and agreed with, all Ofcom will presumably say if you don't like the rules then hand back your licence or don't apply for a licence in the first place .
I can't see any channel pushing things or challenging the rules in the foreseeable future or any thing changing concerning content shown on free to air babe channels .

Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

I think it's pretty obvious the channels will no longer really push any boundaries. However, that doesn't mean there's any excuse for the tepid stuff they've shown over the last few months.

For example there's no reason why Studio 66 keep the girls on the same set all night. A few different sets would make a huge difference as would something like bringing back a few purple sheet sessions now and again.

Unfortunately there are a few across the channels who can't be bothered at all.

Firstly, Studio 66 don't really keep the girls on one set all night. They do switch them around a lot, and some girls don't like it. Ashley Emma usually gets a pouty face on when asked to move to a standing set.

Maybe you mean the day shows as whenever I see those, Vicky and the others are usually on the beds/couch.

Your final point is spot on. There are two girls who can't be bothered to remove their clothes. If they can't be bothered, why should I call?
