Brook's hundred was England's 3rd fastest in Tests coming off 80 balls after Bairstow's 2nd fastest off 77 balls in the summer. Crawley's 86 ball ton was the equal 5th fastest, & the fasted by an England opener.
The 506-4 is the most runs scored on day 1 of a Test Match.

I have to say it is wonderful to see England playing a test series in Pakistan after all these years. It's obvious how much it means to the people of Pakistan and the cricket board of Pakistan too. Great stuff .

Great effort to reduce Pakistan to 499/7 at close. Very creative field settings and lots of imagination all day long from Captain Stokes on a wicket that is highly attritional.
England kept persevering and got rewards late in the day. Well done fellas.
