Apologies if I have missed something but is it definite that BS X will be encrypted? Encryption costs a packet and if viewer takeup is poor it might make commercial sense to drop it.

There doesn't seem much point discussing the pros and cons of the new channel till we know what the format will be. I for one might be interested in watching it, depending on whether it includes girls I like and what they will be doing. Certainly in preference to watching girls I'm not paricularly interested in (whether fully naked or not) and a load of endlessly recycled and edited "porn" movies.
Presumably if it doesn't meet people's expectations or turns out to be yet another con trick, then people won't watch and it will fold.

Yes it's definite that it will be encrypted because it will be showing material that can't be shown unencrypted (just as Babestation Xtreme does now).

I really don't know what Babestation X will be offering that's different to Babestation Xtreme, but somehow I can't see them ditching the porn movies as I think they need them to fill up the schedules. In my opinion Babestation X is more than a name change, but regardless of how it's different I think the films will need to be kept.

Lets be honest, the films are just god awful. Who pays a fiver to watch those? I would much rather they filled the remainder of extreme with girls sitting there talking filth with one another on the mic. It doesn't even have to be live, it could be filmed while girls are not on screen (which is most of the time if your names not lolly!!) And could be cut together to fill the hours that normally show killergram edited crap.

That would kill off all the callers who phone during the "girl caller" events, so realistically I can't see that happening. Besides surely viewers would want to see more than that from a TV show they had paid to watch.

It would be costly to fill the schedules with live shows, so the films being cheaper no doubt fill out the schedules without there being too much expense.
