no doubt cynics will think Fergie's line up was more of a FA*K UP than worthy of an FA CUP....but in the end it wasn't a bad choice considering it was pretty much a 1st reserve side against the Everton usual side....

a few days ago sir alex was having a rant saying how benitez treated other teams with contempt. so by putting out a reserve side against everton do you not think he was doing the same ?

As my Dad is a massive Everton fan and I am Spurs 'til I die,yesterday's result was very pleasing! I was gutted to lose the League Cup on penalties but since losing we have cemented our place in the premiership and played better football.Last year after winning it we went to pieces and only our higher starting league position kept us in the Premiership.So I suppose I should be thanking Man U!!!!
I too support any team,English or Scottish,in Europe even Arsenal now (Judas) Campbell no longer plays for them! But let's be honest 'L'Arsenal' aren't really English are they? lol !!!!

It's just his way. He's been using "mind games" for years but as soon as anybody does it back he throws a wobbler. Mind you they're all as bad as each other - one reason why I'm getting sick of football these days.

I'm similar to you in that I hate all that surrounds football.I have Sky and Setanta and watch nearly every game that is on the TV.I don't watch the pre-match,half time talk or post-match analysis unless there is a direct interview with Harry or a Spurs player.I don't read the tabloids or go looking around the many football forums.I am often clueless to the transfers and inner wranglings of the club I love,Spurs,but all I am really interested in is what happens on the playing field and that's it!

Couldn't agree more DL. The hype around the game has just become ridiculous since the PL began (and why do Sky refuse to acknowledge that there was football before 1992?) and I just can't be doing with it. There's way too much money swilling about, agents should be taken out and shot en masse and the behaviour of players and managers is just pathetic. I still love the game and love to see my team (Bolton, by the way) do well but since I stopped going to games a few years back I get less excited about it every year.
