Got to be old school British thrash. Definitely. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with the new metalcore, but the old school stuff is what I grew up with, and still kicks arse to this day.
There's some great bands from both genres but I'd go old school as well.I grew up trying to emulate those riffs on my guitars,so inspirational.

The 2nd video: Any Given Day: Saviour, the better guitar riffs out of the 4 vids but all have similar gothic tones which I like, Lacuna Coil add a slight of this element to their music.

Great stuff mate, vocally similar to cradle of filth but with better instrumentals imo.

Bolt Thrower were fantastic players.

2019 is shaping up to be a good year for us metal fans.Kerrang have confirmed that Slipknot's album will arrive and they've also reported that Faith No More will release new music as well.
