Final Fantasy

I loved FFVII, really enjoyed FFVIII and absolutely hated FFIX.
Then I got one online for PS2 I think, turned it on, watched, then turned it off.

Its out March 5th (i think) and i cannot wait to get stuck into it!! Looks amazing and im hoping the story is as good as the others. Anyone else here looking forward to it?

I am really looking forward to it but initial reviews have not been that convincing, apparantly it is very linear, there aren't even any towns to stop in and there is one monster hunt series of sidequests. I have got the Limited Edition pre-ordered but I hope the reviews are all wrong. At least I have FF and FFII to bide me over on my iPhone till the release.

I got FF XIII today, and I must say the graphics are amazing, but I'm dissapointed as the story line doesnt excite me one bit, it's continuous fighting in dungeons and no exploring of a world map. Been playing it since 9:30 this morning and I've fallen asleep twice as I've been so bored. Don't like the fighting system much as I can only control 1 character during fights even though there's 3 on screen. I'm praying it gets better than this...please.

FF X > FF Xiii

I am very happy with it, it has gone for a happy medium to appease everybody with the fighting, the fights aren't random and they can be avoided, the battle system is both turn based and real time if that makes sense. I think this is the best fighting system in the series, I love the turn-based FF's but after playing the original FF, turn based battles are pretty boring, this makes you feel in control. I don't think it is that much of a problem that you only control one person at a time because it constantly switches who is leader so I have played as everybody in charge so far. It helps that the fights play out like a cross between FFVII, Chrono Trigger and Kingdom Hearts which are my favourite games ever, so I am loving this game.

Im still deciding. Im on disc 2 already after only 6 hours gameplay and I have been disappointed with the linerarity of it. Apart from that its visually stunning.

My brother bought it on the PS3 and he just got to chapter 10 (or just cleared it I can't remember) and that is when it all opens up and you can pick from everybody and go everywhere, and that is 25-30 hours through so apparantly it is really linear till then, I don't mind though, I am really enjoying it so far, although I am not a lover of most of the characters (Sazh and Snow are the only ones I really like).

I haven't got the game yet but been watching the play through of the game on youtube, can't stand that Vanille, she gets on my nerves lol.

I really, really love 13 ive been playing it non stop and have been hugely impressed by it. The graphics are amazing, the story line is epic as with all final fantasies, i like the battle system it takes abit of getting use to it but when you do it all makes sense and is super easy to win battles i also like the way you can change roles in battle again get them right and battles get fun and easy. 13 is also one of the few final fantasies that i like all the characters usuall theres only a few, the eidolons are awesome too i actually use them with pleasure unlike 12 where they were horrible and pointless. In whole a totally awesome game that should be approached with an open mind and not be compared to previous final fantasies because its totally a whole new different game/experince, well thats what i think anyway, but each to his own i guess.
