RE: Worst film you have ever seen
I don't agree either that Superman Returns was the worse Superman i think people have forgotten about Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. Any one thats watched the documentary on the blu ray will know the trouble that film went through, budget cuts, poor special effects, the original story got torn to crap. The original storyline of Supergirl was meant to have both super girl and Superman taken on Brainiac Reeves passed on showing on the film and then it was totally changed. Superman was meant to reeves playing Superman and a evil clone of him created Lex Luthor and the story was gonna be a lot darker in tone. Of course this went to shit and the budget was cut in half and evil Superman became Nuclear Man who was totally shit. The effects are so bad in the film you can see the strings, board buildings, black curtains used for the background of space and Superman having new powers being able to rebuild the great wall of china with his finger, these's even a deleted scene which you can find on youtube with Superman having a fight with the first prototype Nuclear Man and it starts off with Superman walking out of night flu wtf. The film was bad that Reeves walked away from ever doing another Superman film, they never released another Superman for years, you couldn't even buy the 4th one till a few years ago and even on the blu ray box set they cleaned up the first three films gave them 5.1/DTS and the 4th one they just left it.
I thought the Superman Returns wasn't a bad movie but it was less then perfect i can see why it was modelled on the Chris Reeves one but yet people hated it and wanted it to be totally different. Look at Smallville i know its only a TV series and it was only really about Clark Kent and he wasn't really Superman till the last ep a lot of diehard Superman fans hate it because it was different to the comics, previous shows and films even to a point where Tom Welling turned down the role twice and why you never saw him totally in the Superman suit, even Reeves himself said that Smallville kinda of carries on from the first Superman film where was a teenager and Welling plays that part of his life and Reeves kinda plays the adult side if i can find the interview on youtube i'll even post it on the forum. Already the new Superman film is getting stick and it isn't even out yet lol because its gonna be nothing like the first Superman film you can't win lol. I've liked all the versions of him whether its been the easy cartoons, the black and white series, the first three films, Lois and Clark, JLA/JLA Unlimited, Smallville, Superman Returns and even him in the cartoon shows The Batman and Young Justice.Superman Return may have been disappointing Superman 4 in my view was the worse one, the only thing good about it was Chris Reeves how despite how bad it was played the role as good as his ever done and in my book it killed off Superman for a while just like Batman and Robin did.

RE: Worst film you have ever seen
My main gripe with the Superman Returns movie was they had completely the wrong cast and type of performances they were trying to potray, the annoying kid in it playing that stupid rif from the Big movie just made a mockery of the whole movie. Kate Bosworth just didn't fit the Lois Lane character and was completely unsuited, she is a fine actress in her own way but she just wasn't right for a Superman movie, she actually managed to make the character unlikeable, so much so I was willing Lex Luther on to gun her down.
As for Superman 3 I actually thought that movie was ok. Richard Pryer was hilarious and Superman going evil for me made the movie very dark in places. Superman 4 I fully agree was attrocious, I actually went to the cinema to watch that when I was 9 and it was the biggest waste of time I've ever spent on a Saturday afternoon, it was appalling from start to finish, I own the whole DVD boxset and that is the one that I wouldn't touch with a bargepole. It was embarrassing.
Also on the subject of Charlie and the chocolate factory, absymal too I agree, bought the dvd, watched it once before giving it away. Johnny Depp just completely missed the boat on that one, for a man who has given so much in terms of performances and winning oscars, this was easily his worst and I'd imagine one he'd want to forget in a hurry.
