Btw unlike on Twitter/'X', I don't think being able to block forum members makes sense, especially for people who contribute to discussions, as it effectively means people are avoiding being questioned, more than avoiding being 'insulted'.
It skews discussions, helping to create cliques that talk to themselves, reinforcing each others' closed-mindedness in echo chambers, in different tiers within the same thread.
I'm perfectly prepared to be challenged, and if I don't think it's a reasoned challenge, I'm likely to take the piss, until either my challenger starts to make sense, or I get bored and move on.
