ITV WOS Wrestling

Im a big wrestling fan have been since 97 but i really can't watch this it makes me cringe, they should've tried to be something unique but instead are trying to be like everybody else it seems to me to be low budget impact episode which is saying something

Fair enough that’s what you think, but Wos Wrestling clearly has done well enough so far for ITV to go ahead with this Jan/Feb 2019 Tour. I myself have really enjoyed it. Won’t be going to this tour as no venue close enough. I will though be seeing wos live at wrestlingmediacon in Manchester a week today 9th September as they are having a meet & greet and a panel plus some are wrestling in impact v the uk show.


Think this for me confirms an Xmas/New Year special & a 2nd series next summer.

I hope they do succeed any wrestling on tv is a good thing for the wrestling buisness
I watched the first episode and it just wasn't for me the main things that put me off was the constant camara cuts, the bad commentary and grado

I suspect ITV (or whomever is paying for this) has a long road to make it a financial success (which would put them above the "low budget Impact" debate).

If I had a car, Blackpool wouldn’t be an issue. But because I’m reliant on public transport, it is. I am seeing the wos stars live though a week today as I’ve said in Manchester

Blackpool is easy to get to from manchester just get the manchester - Blackpool north train. They have finished all the engineering works

The train isn’t the issue, it’s the getting back from Blackpool in time for the last tram & bus from Manchester to Ramsbottom. If it’s like most wrestling shows I’ve been too, it won’t finish till around 10:30-11pm & won’t make it to bury for the last bus to Ramsbottom.

Hopefully on future tours WOS will tour close enough.

As I’ve said I’ll be seeing the wos stars a week today at WrestlingMediaCon in Manchester, near the Trafford Centre

Its on a sat night go wrestling then go out all night get the early train back to get the bus Blackpool is a good night out or it was its been a while

Just been having a watch of this week's ep, and by God it's bad. I mean DIRE. And at a time when there are a lot of genuinely good wrestling companies here that THIS shite is on ITV is a travesty.

I'd hoped they'd stopped with the ever busy camera work, but it's worse than ever. Alex Shane remains a laughably bad commentator. SoCal Val is utterly useless and irrelevant. Wade Barrett tries but brings nothing to the table. The wrestlers are SO hammy it's crazy. And the crowd don't really give a fuck.

I'd love to know what the ratings are like. MUST be tanking.

I don't think it's a bad show, I think they do the best with what they have as 50mins airtime a week is not enough to tell any proper story, when they are trying to do 3 matches a show,
I watch live shows so seen a lot of the stars of wos in live action so know how talented they are but i think some off the stuff u see on a indy show just wouldn't work on tv, for example watching Doug Williams put on a 30min master class I would love but most casual fans who are used to wwe would be bord after 5min and be watching something else,
For me the worst bit is the community Barret should not be there he should be setting up the matches on the mic in the ring, Alex should go back to being the show stealer bad man what made him a star, get a proper babie face on main com and get someone interesting in on colour com as Val issue boring as hell,
The one thing I don't understand is why they didn't have the title matches under wos old tv rules 3min rounds etc as this would have made them look different to other shows,
