Trump continuing his great season, and a good first final for Si too

It's that woman again! Bai Yulu beat Liam Pullen 5-4 in her first German Masters qualifier. Mink Nutcharut tried to emulate her and came close, but she lost 5-3 to Gong Chenzhi. Baipat Siripaporn lost 5-2 to Bulcsu Revesz. Reanne Evans plays her first qualifying round match on Wednesday.

Jimmy White lost 5-2 to Julien Leclercq. Wins for Artemijs Zizins, Stuart Carrington and Ka Wai Cheung.

Absolutely lovin' Bai Yulu

Bai Yulu was unlucky to get an opponent as tough as Yuan Sijun in the 2nd qualifying round, and she lost 5-1. But she went out in a blaze of glory, making a fantastic 128 break in frame 5, before Sijun closed out the match in frame 6. Better news for Reanne Evans in her first round match, winning her first match this season against a male opponent, beating Amir Sarkhosh 5-3.

High drama in the 2nd round match between Artemijs Zizins and Matthew Selt. Selt started off with a fantastic 143 clearance in the first frame, but he soon found himself 4-2 down. He managed to pull the score back to 4-4. In the decider, Zizins fluked frame ball, the final red. As the red rolled from one cushion to another and dropped in, Selt was heard to loudly exclaim "Oh My God!". Zizins added the blue then the yellow and he was on a break of 70. Selt got up and conceded, then walked off. As Zizins was pleading in vain to the referee to be allowed to continue his break, an official was heard in the background trying to get Selt to come back. The Discovery Plus microphone picked up Selt telling the official to shut up!

Ka Wai Cheung beat Anthony Hamilton 5-2. Wins also for Sunny Akani, Liam Graham and Anton Kowalski. Scottish Open Champion Lei Peifan lost. Losses also for Bulcsu Revesz and Stuart Carrington.

Fantastic 5-0 victory for Anton Kowalski over Martin O'Donnell. Reanne Evans lost 5-1 to Joe O'Connor. Allan Taylor folowed up his victory over Lei Peifan by beating Robbie Williams 5-2. Sunni Akani lost 5-1 to Jackson Page. Wins for Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Liam Graham.

The German Masters resumes on Monday 27th January in Berlin.

Wins on day one so far for Neil Robertson, John Higgins, Kyren Wilson, Zhang Anda and Robert Milkins.
The evening session in Berlin features the likes of Judd Trump, Shaun Murphy and Barry Hawkins.

Trump eased through, Murphy claimed a whitewash, Hawkins scraped to a deciding frame win. But best news of the day is that Joe O'Connor has seen off The Misery 5-1 .

Today so far wins for Mark Selby, Mark Allen, Si Jiahui and Luca Brecel.
But Jack Lisowski is out after a 5-3 defeat to Alexander Ursenbacher.

I gather Noppon Saengkham had a 147 chance, but his final red left him unable to get on the black.

Aaron Hill has caused the upset of the round by claiming a 5-2 victory over Mark Williams. A fine 115 break sealing the match in style.
And it was double agony for Noppon Saengkham. After missing out on a 147 he then fell to a narrow 5-4 loss against Jimmy Robertson.
