The Matrix: Resurrections

The 4th film in The Matrix franchise is out & just like the previous 3 films in the franchise it's got fantastic special effects & fantastic action sequences.

Fantastic to see Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Ann Moss back as Neo & Trinity and other actors from the previous films are back and the new cast are all excellent, especially Jessica Henwick as Bugs

9/10

RE: Last film you watched
A couple of heartwarming sci-fi / comedy films to chill out to over Christmas:-

Flight of the Navigator (1986)

12 year old David (Joey Cramer) gets the adventure of a lifetime when he is whisked off to outer space, but finds things aren't what they should be when he returns. It's a fairly simple concept for a movie and not particularly extravagant, in fact basic by today's standards, but it remains an enjoyable and nostalgic piece of early sci-fi film making. 6.5 / 10

Groundhog Day (1993)

Cynical weatherman Bill Murray has one of those days, literally, when he's forced to live the same one over and over again. Is romancing TV producer Andie MacDowell the key to breaking the cycle? Entertaining comedy that delivers a new joke every time you see it. The screenplay is perfect for Murray's deadpan style, it's one of his finest ever films. 8.5 / 10

Matrix Resurrections

Meh, it was fine, but it was desperately missing what made the original special .... and Hugo Weaving. If it's the start of a new trilogy then there is something to build on story and character wise definitely but yeah, very meh. When it comes out on TV in a few years time I'll probably watch it again if there's nothing else on.
