Last film you watched

Mario Bava's violent Masterpiece Bay of Blood (1971) is a movie almost every slasher since has borrowed from, most notably Friday the 13th Part Two, which steals the entire couple being impaled while having a sex scene. The practical effects in particular are quite impressive for the time. 5/5

The Crow reboot and it was an absolute pile of shite

Smile 2 - 6/10 decent sequel, a bit slow to start but some good jump scares.

Red One

A fun and very entertaining action film starring Dwayne Johnson & Chris Evans who attempt to save Xmas by rescuing Santa Claus who has been kidnapped

Under rated super hero film

The Substance - 2024

A little slow to start with but hang in there as this is quite a good watch. The premise is that Demi Moore's character has reached her peak regarding her age in fitness videos and modelling as such and her agent (played by a slimy Dennis Quaid - Props to him for the role), has basically said that your time is done to Demi's Character.

However there's an advert that Demi's Character sees that suggests she could look beautiful and back to her younger self with a simple injection of The Substance, a drug that reproduces your youth but creates another you, but the limitations are that, when each body switches from old to youth, they have seven days only to maintain the circle, however things take a drastic turn.

This is a quality movie imo and worth a look if you get a chance. Margaret Qually is utterly stunning in this!, sexy as hell!, there's a lot of nudity to start with but the film as a whole is pretty good imo.

Gladiator II

it's an excellent sequel to Gladiator and is set around 15yrs after the events of Gladiator. Looks amazing & has plenty of incredible action set pieces which are very violent and gory

The cast are all excellent, especially Denzel Washington.

See it on the biggest screen possible, ideally IMAX (I saw it in IMAX)
