Pleased for Gilbert leading 5-3, I suspect the lengthiness of the match will either bore him off or maybe see him through.

Wilson at 3-3 last I looked, so he doesn't seem held down by nerves either.

Gilbert 10-6 ahead now...

Having played awful in first 4 frames this morning I thought when Higgins got it back to 8-6 that he would get it back level. He needs to win the session tonight to get themselves back into it going into tomorrow's last session

Trump leading 9-7. Maybe Wilson has gone as far as he can... or maybe he's still got one more push in him for tomorrow?

David Gilbert will rue missed opportunities throughout session 3 of the semi final.
John Higgins won the last two frames of the day to reduce his arrears to two frames overnight.
Could be critical in the final analysis.

You'd have to think Gilbert needs a strong start & to keep ahead of Higgins.

Yeah Higgins really needed to win that 3rd session to stay in it

Trump stretched his lead to 14-10.

Somewhat predictably Gilbert succumbed to Higgins in a deciding frame.
So a Trump v Higgins final looms.

Gilbert had his opportunities but didn't taken them when it mattered and paid the price.
