He takes GRR Martin as seriously as Tolkein, but spares Rowling only the thinnest of mention. He clearly has more time for Terry Pratchett. Which I can well understand.
SSS: AMPH
3/3 Spies
He talks to both Fred Forsyth and Stella Rimington, and considered Ian Fleming, John Le Carre, Eric Ambler and many others. Certainly this was the most sobering episode, since its world view has recently become more pertinent.

Overall, a charming series which hopefully encouraged its viewers to read more books, even if trying to write their own seemed a long shot.

Scandal: Cecil Parkinson
Sobering look-back 40 years to how a very unpleasant man got his secretary up the duff, rightly lost his job (eventually), made a small comeback, and later took out an injunction to keep his love-child's name out of the limelight, making her mother's life needlessly more difficult. He then lied about it being his fault. A shocking episode, not least for the way Cecil behaved, and his party tried to take his side.

The Daily Show w/Jon Stewart
It seems better to watch this on a Sunday night showing than in midweek. He was live from Chicago to bask in and reflect the DNC, and to give him credit, did mention that the Dems big tent pointedly excluded the Palestinian POV.

Sell By Dates: Are They A Con?
No, pretty much. Common sense seems to come into play for milk and bread, and one poor bloke was persuaded to use "yellow sticker" items for 5 days to see if it could be done. It could.

Newscast - David Harewood
The new head of RADA talks about acting, being descended from slaves, but no mention of Supergirl.

How much fun you can have with a video camera, if the sexiest thing you can do is show a lactating breast. Blah blah licence fee blah blah...
Unwittingly watched this again. Liked it a lot more this time, clearly.

Watched a few episodes of KAOS on Netflix. A modern take on Greek gods mythology lead by Jeff Goldblum as Zeus. But the writing and plot seems a bit all over the place. Bit of a waste so far on a potentially great idea
