Is it time for a mass attack on OFCOM?

if the babeshows want to get their freedom back from Ofcom, they have to drag the big, rich terrestrial channels into the debate. how hard can it be to make a case comparing their output to that of mainstream channels?

they should just show what they want, refuse to pay the fines, close their doors and then start up new shows.

Except that they would never be granted new licences to broadcast, which means that Sky and Freeview wouldn't give them places on their EPGs.

Or why not just leave it, as your voices won't be heard, as they don't care about your opinion, so just enjoy it or get the fuck out and pipe down.

The big rich channels really ought to be worried about the arbitrary exercise of power. Today its porn, tomorrow it could be politics, religion, trade unionism, corruption stories, medical blunders, bank scandals, almost anything.

Heres a quote from todays paper about Harley Granville-Barker, a theatrical pioneer credited with creating modern rep theatre. The thing is this now, outside the Adult EPG you're really struggling to see anything sexy or erotic. Gone are the nights of Bravo TV, Men And Motors and Fashion TV sexy photoshoots. Have the rest allready conformed to Ofcom opinion now. Had a scan through the channels and there is fuck all worth watching, fuck even the Fight Network Channel used to show late night oil wrestling, what has happened these days, it's daytime TV galore

i`m not being funny sb mate but i think maybe its time to let it go lol not sure if youve heard of somebody doing stuff to get attention for example-i find the best way is to just ignore them and then they stop doing silly things to get the limelight or steel the thunder
my poor example is,if you keep going on at or about ofcom theyre just gonna be loving it i`d say pal so the best way to fuck ofcom would to quite simply be content with the way of the world and let them just get on with it,theyre should be an adult solution to any problems really pal and my best bet would to just not say to much of a contrary nature
they know what we want but to be fair ofcom is probably a much needed thing as none of us would like to see anything thats to over the top,i cant see why a nice babe/naked/semi-naked or just wearing a very revealing outfit,i.e.really struggling un-successfully to keep a big pair of bra-less titties in a really small untaped top

it's the injustice that the shows we like - which are essentially minority programming - are being treated so unfairly and stomped on compared to mainstream television

this demonstrates Ofcom's blatant double-standards:

Jeremy Clarkson caused controversy recently when saying that public sector strikers should be shot in front of their families. this was broadcast at 7pm. did Ofcom issue any fines or punishments? no. Ofcom said that his comments, while "potentially offensive", were justified by the context and therefore no rules had been broken

it also said that viewers would have expected him to make "potentially controversial or offensive statements" and his introduction "clearly alluded, with light hearted irony, to Mr Clarkson’s provocative and outspoken nature" therefore preparing viewers for the type of comments he was likely to make

Babestation, Elite, RLC et al. are ADULT shows aired at NIGHT which open with an 18 certificate on display. the show has an opening "tease hour" (which has just been increased to 90 minutes) and the girls regularly remind viewers that they must be 18 to watch or call

Ofcom was formed for a reason. this isn't it.

After the 9pm watershed, Adult material can be shown, however it seems that this so called Watershed is counting for very little at this moment in time Especially with this Former Labour institution called Ofcom. As previously discussed the male penis and testicles seem to be the flavour of the month, in other words its A OK according to Ofcom to have the male sex organ on show, and yet a woman's Vagina is totally outlawed by Ofcom
To me this Screams of SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION by Ofcom, and for that reason i feel that Ofcom could and should be brought to task in this matter The fact still remains that SKY still offer parents the right to block these channels which can be done extremely easily. Now apart from the obvious differences between a man and woman's sexual anatomy, why Ofcom feel a man penis is not classed as offensive yet a woman's Vagina is baffles me
I think the only way i can see to tackle Ofcom is to try and go down the sexual discrimination route, now i might be way of base here, and I'm sure other more experienced posters on this matter might put me right here, however I'm all for getting this overpaid Dictatorship out of our TV industry once and for all.

Whatever the Labour part did ( and they were shit in a lot of areas) they are no longer in power.

It is Cameron's lot who could do something about Ofcon and have chosen not to.

I will equally criticise a labour administration if, after a win in the next election, they refuse to curb Ofcon's powers.

It is the present power holders whom I blame for Ofcon's bullshit.

Very true Blackjaques, its the current CON?DEM government which should have done something about this former Labour Constitution, why they haven't tackled this issue is beyond me
