TNA will never compete with wwe aslong as they are ripping off wcw storylines and bringing in old has been's. don't get me started on the z list celebs they keep bringing in and brutus maximus

Nobody would be happier than me to see that happen, but there is not a cat in hells chance. TNA is going backwards. I haven't sat there with a stopwatch, but in the last 2 editions of IMPACT, I don't think there's been more than 12 minutes wrestling in the 1st 70 minutes of the show & this has been followed by 'matches' like Joe vs. Sting. If the main event starts at 8 minutes to 11:00, you know there ain't gonna be no match.

They simply use IMPACT as an excuse to build-up some 'feud' or other for the next PPV - which will probably be shit anyway. Jarrett putting himself back in main events, Steiner, Sting, Nash, Russo... - all the same old rubbish that put WCW out of business. The roster is shit with MEM & shit without them.

The X-Division has gone down the toilet as well.

Edit - Not quite sure what Stevie Richards is going to bring to the party either. On the plus side, it looks like Daffney might be back.

Thats what should have happened

before you start reading this post you should know that there's a lot of reading to do as i've written down just about everything that happened at this event so if you don't feel like reading a very long post i suggest you stop reading right now.

i was disappointed with this year's wrestlemania. this is what i thought of the event:

match 1: money in the bank ladder match
just like the previous money in the bank ladder matches this one was great with lots of high spots (especially from shelton benjamin) but c m punk winning for the second year in a row ruined the match in my opinion, it should have been christian or benjamin that won the match.

kid rock sings to the audience:
i'm not a fan of kid rock and i think he sang for way too long which is probably the reason that the tag team championship didn't take place on the main show. it's shame that the miz, morrison, carlito and primo had to miss the event because of this.

match 2: miss wrestlemania 25 battle royal
well i wasn't expecting anything great from this match but the ending was just completely stupid. santino (or santina) dressing up as a woman and winning this thing was bad enough but the fact that the announcers just acted like they didn't know who this "woman" was is just too much (seriously how stupid does vince think wwe fans are?)

match 3: chris jericho vs roddy piper, jimmy snuka and ricky steamboat
just like the previous match i wasn't expecting anything great from this match either but steamboat really suprised me. after snuka and piper were eliminated, it was down to jericho and steamboat and i have to say steamboat wrestled almost as good as he did in wrestlemania 3, he was just brilliant. but in the end it was jericho that won, after the match he got into a fight with flair with jericho quickly taking him out and then he challenged mickey rourke to fight him. after jericho and rourke stalled for a bit, rourke knocked jericho out with a left punch and celebrated with flair afterwards. this was just stupid in my opinion having a non-wrestler making a big wrestling star like jericho look weak, but i guess the legends had to get some form of victory over jericho.

match 4: jeff hardy vs matt hardy (extreme rules match)
after their previous performances in wrestlemania 16 and 17 and the story surrounding this match i was expecting to see a very exciting match with a lot high risk moves and ladders come into play. it didn't happen. while their were some exciting bits in the match this was nowhere near as good as their ladder matches at wrestlemania 16 or 17. still i think it was right for matt to win in the end as his career could use a push.

match 5: jbl vs rey mysterio (intercontinental championship)
all i have to say about this match is what the fuck?! first rey mysterio comes down to the ring looking like the joker, then just before the match officially begins jbl gets a few shots at mysterio and then when the offically starts rey just springs to life and beats jbl in just 21 seconds. as if wwe didn't piss all over the ecw title last year now they have to piss all over the intercontinental title aswell. and to top it all off jbl then gets a microphone and screams i quit! (he'll probably be back on smackdown as an announcer).

match 6: undertaker vs shawn michaels
well for me personally this was the main event and i expected this to be the best match of the night. i wasn't disappointed. shawn's entrance in this match was quite humorous, coming down in a podium with some epic music playing while wearing the same type of entrance attire that undertaker wears but only in white (you know as in light vs dark). the match itself started quite slow which is usually a sign that it's gonna be a long match but once it got going it was just fantastic. at one point in the match it looked like shawn had really injured himself when he did a moonsault to the undertaker when he was outside the ring but undertaker just moved out of the way and just shoved michaels down to the floor. then it looked like taker really injured himself when he dove outside the ring attempting to land on michaels but shawn moved out of the way and pushed a cameraman in taker's direction (the cracking noise when taker landed was a bit disturbing). later on in the match when taker hit his tombstone piledriver on michaels i thought the match was over but shawn kicked out and at that moment i started thinking maybe just maybe shawn will win the match and end the undertaker's undefeated streak. in the end though the undertaker was able to get a second tombstone on michaels to win the match. i think it was the right way to end the match because shawn michaels proved that win or lose he is still mr wrestlemania and the undertaker is still undefeated.

match 7: edge vs big show vs john cena (world heavyweight championship)
well after the 5 star match that just took place, there was no way in hell that this match was gonna top it especially since out of the 3 wrestlers edge is the only good wrestler. cena's entrance was quite unique, it looked like there were a 100 cenas walking down to the ring as they just lined up on the ramp with the real cena walking down to the ring with the cena lookalikes standing to his left and right. the match itself was basically a standard triple threat match with one wrestler getting taken out early on while the other two fight it out and when it looks like the match is gonna end the third guy pops up to make the save. in the end cena got the win (booooooo) when he picked up big show while edge was still on top of big show with a sleeper hold and f u'ed both of them to the ground (he must have upped his steroid dosage to be able to pick both of them up).

hall of fame ceremony:
no disrespect to the other wrestlers that were inducted to the hall of fame that night but stone cold steve austin was clearly the star here. after the ceremony concluded stone cold's music played and he came out riding a ATV down to the ring then grabbing a few beers from ringside and drinked like only stone cold does. the crowd's reaction here was just incredible, even jim ross was more enthusiastic than usual as he screamed STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! just like he did in the attitude era (god i miss those days). as stone cold was riding up the ramp i felt quite sad because you sort of got that impression that we've seen him for the last time in a wrestling ring.

match 8: triple h vs randy orton (wwe championship)
so this is the main event of wrestlemania 25. triple h once again is in the main event (been married to the boss's daughter definitely has it's advantages) going up against randy orton for the umpteenth time. the match started off quite well with orton giving triple h an rko and triple h giving orton a pedigree all in less than 5 minutes into the match but neither man got a pin. after that the match just got more and more boring to the point that you were actually begging for someone to come out and interfere in the match and the ending with triple h winning just felt anticlimactic.

so there you have it, 2 great matches, some average matches and a crappy main event. wwe better step up their game for next year's wrestlemania or the fans might stop watching wwe.

cena is champion again hopefully he wont have it for long.
